Ingredients

  • 450 Gms - Chicken pieces
  • ½ Cup - Yogurt
  • 1 Tsp - Lemon juice
  • 2 Tsp - Ginger-garlic paste
  • ½ Tsp - Alco Red Hot Chili Powder
  • 1 Tsp - Alco Garam Masala
  • ½ Tsp - Salt
  • 2 Tsp - Butter/ Ghee
  • 1 - Onion (chopped)
  • 3-4 - Tomatoes (chopped)
  • 8-9 - Garlic pods
  • ½ Cup - Cashews
  • 1 inch - Ginger
  • 5 - Green cardamom
  • 3 inch - Cinnamon stick
  • 8-9 - Cloves
  • 2 - Bay leaves
  • 1 - Black Cardamom
  • ½ Tsp - Alco red chili powder
  • To Taste - Salt
  • 2 Tbsp - Butter
  • 2 Tbsp - Cream
  • ½ Tsp - Kasuri methi
  • 1 Cup - Water
  • 1 Piece - Charcoal
  • ½ Tsp - Ghee

Instructions

  • Add chicken pieces, yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, Alco red chili powder, garam masala powder, salt, and ghee in a bowl.
  • Mix all the ingredients and marinate well. Keep it marinated for some time.
  • Heat the pan over medium flame and ghee.
  • After the melting of ghee, add marinated chicken to the pan.
  • Stir the chicken pieces until it is brown in color.
  • After cooking the chicken, turn off the flame and place a bowl in the pan.
  • Place heated charcoal in the bowl, and add ghee over the charcoal.
  • Cover the pan lid for 15 minutes to give the smoky flavor.
  • For making curry paste, add water, onions, tomatoes, cashews, garlic, ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, and bay leaves in a pan.
  • Add Alco red chili powder and salt.
  • Cook for 15-20 minutes until the onions become soft. 
  • Stir continuously, and let it cool for some time.
  • Remove bay leaf and cinnamon stick.
  • Put the mixture in the blender and blend it well.
  • Now make curry, put a pan to the heat.
  • Add butter and the blended mixture to it.
  • Add water and smoked chicken and stir for a few minutes.
  • Add kasuri methi and cream.
  • Cook until the ingredients get mixed well. Serve and enjoy with rice, chapati, etc.
