Amritsari Chole Masala

Ingredients: 1 cup Chhole (soaked for 7-8 hours), 2 tsp Tea Leaves, One large Black Cardamom, 1/2″ Cinnamon Stick,1 Bay Leaf, 2 tsp grated Ginger, 1 and ½ tsp Salt, ½ tsp Black Salt, ½ tsp Black Pepper, ½ tsp Turmeric, ½ tsp Garam Masala, 1 tsp Alcoeats Amritsari Chhole Masala, 2 tbsps chopped Coriander Leaves, 1 chopped Onion, ½ cup Tomato Puree, 1 tsp Cumin Powder, 1 tsp Amchoor Powder, 1 tsp Red Hot Chili Powder, ½ tsp Coriander Powder.
Instructions:
1. Heat oil in a heavy-bottomed pressure cooker, Add chopped onions and saute till transparent; sprinkle some salt.
2. Now add the 7-8 hours soaked and drained chickpeas, three cups of water, a cinnamon stick, and one sizeable black cardamom (Badi elaichi), green.
3. Chillis, grated ginger, bay leaf, tomato puree, and strain some tea leaves.
4. Now take five whistles from the pressure cooker. Then open the lid.
5. Add all the spice powder and a tbsp of Alcoeats Amritsari Chhole Masala.
6. Cook for approx 18-20 minutes or till you achieve a slightly thick gravy.
7. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
Serve hot as a snack, garnished with chopped onions, bhatura, or rotis.
