INSTANT HOMEMADE CHICKEN GRAVY

Ingredients-
For the marination-
- 500 gms- Chicken Pieces
- ¼ Cup- Yogurt
- 1 Tsp- Alcoeats Turmeric Powder
- 1 Tsp- Ginger garlic paste
- ½ Tsp- Salt
For pot pie gravy (to grind)
- 3- Tomatoes
- 12- Cashews
- 2- Kashmiri red chili
For Cooking-
- 2- Chopped onions
- 2 Tbsp- Cooking oil
- ½ inch- Cinnamon sticks
- 2- Cloves
- 1- Cardamom
- 1 Tsp- Cumin seeds
- 1- Star anise
- 1 Tsp- Alcoeats Red Chili Powder
- 1 Tsp- Alcoeats coriander powder
- 1 Tsp- Alcoeats cumin powder
- 1 Tsp- Alcoeats Garam Masala
- ½ Cup- Curry leaves
- 1 Tbsp- Coriander leaves
- Water- As required
- Salt- To Taste
Instructions-
- Blend big tomatoes along with Kashmiri red chilies and cashew nuts.
- Blend it to make a puree without water. Keep it aside.
- Place chicken in a mixing bowl, then stir in the yogurt, turmeric powder, salt, and ginger garlic paste.
- Blend it completely and let it marinate for a half hour.
- Add all the ingredients to a large cooking pot.
- Now add onion (chopped), salt, and ginger garlic paste.
- Saute until golden for at least 3 mins.
- Now add cashew tomato puree.
- Simmer the mixture until all of the uncooked aromas of the tomatoes have vanished and the mixture has thickened.
- Stir in the Kashmiri red chili powder, coriander powder, and cumin seeds powder and sauté them briefly.
- Now add marinated chicken to the pot.
- Add water to make a thick gravy.
- Mix them well and let them simmer on a low flame.
- Cover the dish and cook it over a low-medium flame for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken has become tender. Alternatively, if you desire, you may use a pressure cooker and pressure cook the dish for three whistles.
- Finally, add garam masala and coriander leaves.
