STUFFED POMFRET FISH RECIPE | TAWA POMFRET

Ingredients
4- Pomfret (Medium)
For the marination,
2 Tsp- Alco turmeric powder
2 Tsp- Red hot chili powder
1 Tsp- Salt
For the Filling,
6-7- Green chilies
7-8 Tbsp- Shredded coconut
10-12- Garlic pods
1- Medium onion (chopped)
1 Tbsp- Tamarind
1 inch- Ginger
2 Tsp- Coriander seeds
1 Tsp- Cumin seeds
3 Tbsp- Coriander leaves (chopped)
For Coating,
2 Cup- Semolina
1 Tsp- Alco red hot chili powder
1 Tsp- Alco turmeric powder
1 Cup- Rice flour
To Taste- Salt

Step by Step Instructions to Make Stuffed Pomfret
- Cut the head, tail, and fin of the Pomfret fish and clean it nicely. Don’t cut the fish into many pieces.
- Add Alco red hot chili powder, turmeric powder, salt, and clean Pomfret in a bowl and marinate it.
- Grind the stuffing ingredients, such as garlic pods, ginger, cumin seeds, tamarind, coconut, coriander seeds, and coriander leaves. Don't grind onions.
- Add water as per the requirement while grinding. Remember to make a thick paste for stuffing. Don't make the paste thin.
- Add the finely chopped onions to the blended mixture for stuffing.
- Put the mixture from the slit side of the Pomfret and coat all around with the blended mixture.
- Mix well with rice flour, semolina, salt, Alco turmeric powder, and red chili powder in a bowl.
- Coat pomfret fish (stuffed) from all sides with the mixture (slurry) made for coating.
- Heat the pan, and add the oil required to shallow fry.
- Place the stuffed pomfret fish on the tawa. Spread the oil all over the stuffed fish.
- Fry for 10-15 minutes and flip the fish using two ladles.
- Repeat the tawa frying for all the pieces of stuffed pomfret.
